Equity Dinner: Romaine, Apple, & Camembert

Crisp romaine with Golden Delicious apples in a tart apple cider and walnut oil vinaigrette accompanied by slightly melted Camembert cheese on toasted baguette.
Note: This was a recipe from www.epicurious.com. I don't think I'll be making this salad again. The vinaigrette was exceedingly tart, which wasn't so bad - it made the sweetness of the apples stand out. However, I found the proportion of walnut oil heavy handed. I had a hard time concentrating on little else.

Equity Dinner: 2000 Trimbach Cuvee Frederic Emile Reisling

This 2000 Trimbach Cuvee Frederic Emile Riesling was crisp and sweet, without being cloying. It had a straw colour and tasted of white fruits (apples mostly). The riesling married very well with the white-fleshed fish (tilapia) that we had. The wine also went very well with the apples in the salad.
