For the digital storytelling course ds106 we were challenged to go on a 'design safari'. Great use of colour in these signs, and the whitespace (or blue in this case) between the different elements helps to balance them out.

For the digital storytelling course ds106 we were challenged to go on a 'design safari' - here's what I found. The bright green and round red knobs bring the chair part of this children's playground object to the foreground, recessing the more practical element of the seat. There's a strong symmetry here.
Elements - second version

From two tone to color, From the computer to the real world. Elements is now a 16x20 acrylic on canvas painting. Had a blast with this whimsical painting. And to the boys delight I made it entirely with the 3 brushes and the box of primary paints they chose for my birthday.
Doing this has been so much fun I may just spiral into a tesselation phase.
