SEQUEL TO FIRE
WOMAN'S BURNS PROVE FATAL
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, November 24,

The death has occurred in the Auckland Hospital of Mrs. Egerton Burleigh Cecil, of Epsom, who was admitted on Sunday suffering from shock and extensive burns received in a motor accident at Waiuku on the previous evening.

Mrs. Cecil and her husband were trapped in a small sedan motor-car which burst into flames after skidding and overturning on loose metal on a rise just outside Waiuku. Both were severely burned before Mr. Cecil succeeded in wrenching open the door of the car and releasing himself and his wife. A pet dog in the back of the car was burned to death.

Mrs. Cecil was in a serious condition when admitted to the hospital, but her husband was not so badly injured. [1]

According to NZ historic bdm online site, Egerton died in 1967. According to the cemetery database, he is not listed as in the same grave as Edith.

[Her grave had shells all over it...they looked like they had been burned...it was very creepy! See photo beside this one].

Bromsgrove Station Car Park

Having ordered my tickets on the London Midland website, using that Ginormous online sale offer, I headed to Bromsgrove on Saturday 13th April 2013.

Bromsgrove was only 20 minutes away from Birmingham New Street (although I was waiting on the train for half an hour before).

There are plans to redevelop this station.

At weekends, there is only one train per hour that stops here.

The station is around one miles walk away from the town centre (including crossing over the A38).

Returning to Bromsgrove Station, after my walk around the town centre. It was raining. And I had 40 minutes to wait for the train to come.

Plenty of time to take photos of passing trains!

At the end of New Road is Bromsgrove Station Car Park.
