The Traverse City Wine & Art Festival will take place on Saturday August 22 from 5-10 PM at the Grand Traverse Commons in front of Building 50 on the lawn under the big tent.
The inaugural festival is being organized in order to create a landmark celebration of the wine, food and culture of northwest lower Michigan and Michigan's wine coast for years to come. The evening will feature wines from 22 wineries from the Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas and a selection of Traverse City and Leelanau restaurants serving food & desserts. Unlike many other wine festivals which function primarily as tasting events, the Traverse City Wine & Art Festival will feature full pours of area wines.

This art was created for a YouTube video titled All My Loving that may be seen HERE. "All My Loving" was written around about 1963 by Paul McCartney. Lyrics are not used in that performance. The Friends of Old Puppy features Steven Strauss on electric soprano ukulele, Billy Wilson on (Risa) electric tenor ukulele, Ed Johnson on wash-tub bass ("gutbucket"), and Cynthia Wilson on the drums. The music was recorded on December 10, 2011.
