The first California quake in the movie "2012" wakes up Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) in his home on 45th Street in Manhattan Beach.
The last time Cusack was filming a movie in Manhattan Beach, it was the thriller "1408" (another thriller with a number for a title). In 1408, Cusack came to this same beach (El Porto) to go surfing, he lived Hermosa beach.
In both movies, he was also a novelist.
