Milton Latrell owns Agriculture, a high end men’s boutique that provides custom tailoring. It counts several NBA players among its clientele. Latrell self-financed his business but hopes to approach local banks for a small business loan. ‘We’d like to expand,’ he says.

Senator LeBeau greets Case McClellan of The Olde Burnside Brewing Company of East Hartford to the senator's "Jobs Bill Summit" held at Manchester Community College. The event was designed to familiarize small, area manufacturers with the comprehensive business economic assistance package that the legislature passed in October. McClellan said he attended to get information on small businesses loans and grants. "We're looking to buy some new equipment, and banks aren't lending, so it would be great to get a grant. Having a bottling line sometime in the future would be great," he said. (December 9, 2011)
