Tech note: This would have been a good day to bring an external flash as the harsh mid-day light required stopping down quite a bit (-2/3rds here) just to prevent blowing out highlights. Finding an uncluttered background is a challenge in a car show attended by thousands of attendees. Shooting wide open at f/4.o here helped blur out some backgrounds, while also giving emphasis in one focal object of interest. I took 350 shots, most w/o looking at the LCD or viewfinder, holding the camera at arms’ length to try to get positioned at a weird or unusual angle to best distort reality or find an interesting perspective.
