Electronic Melting Point Apparatus

This is an electronic melting point apparatus (sometimes called a Gallenkamp melting point apparatus). A mercury thermometer is used for improved accuracy as opposed to an alcohol thermometer. A small amount of sample material (2-5 mm max) is placed into the testing chamber and the apparatus is turned on.
