I found this to be amusing, then sad. I received this missive written on a tissue, enclosed in a folder from Netflix. What bothered me:
1) Some poor soul is smart enough to use Netflix.com to request movies on-line, yet not smart enough use the forms to notify them of a broken disc.
2) Movey?
3) That it was enclosed with Spencer Tracey's "Bad Day at Black Rock", certainly a timeless movie.
I feel lucky that the tissue wasn't used.

Well, I'm not gone yet.
Yet.
I've had this shot in my head for about 150 days or so. Yeah, that long. I dreamed of a thousand ways to do it. Should I be like the bum on the street corner, or the evangelist in front of the Alamo. I even did a test shot a few weeks ago and stood on the road with no cars coming, then stacked a shot of the same road with a car in motion so that it looked like I was about to get run over. In the end, I opted for something a little darker and grittier. I found this spot just around the corner from my apartment, and let me tell you something: It freaked the shit out of me to do this there. It was pitch-fucking-black out there. There is nothing but forest-type area behind me on both sides of the bridge I'm under, and this shot was actually taken with my headlights turned off, at 1600 ISO with just the flash firing. So I was standing there for several takes of 10 seconds each in complete fucking darkness. I was really worried someone was gonna come up behind me and knock me over the head and gank all my shit and drive away in my car.
Kids, don't try this at home.
